SWEETBAY KNITS | EPISODE NO. 5 SHOW NOTES

Episode no. 5 of Sweetbay Knits has just been published over on my channel. I meant to publish it long before now, but time got away from me. Since this episode was recorded, I have actually finished a few of my WIPs. I hope to record another episode very soon.

FINISHED OBJECTS

In this episode, I had one finished object. That is my set of Christmas Vanilla Socks, knit in A Homespun Houses’s sock yarn in the color Whobilation. This is actually my last skein of Christmas themed yarn, so I need to be on the lookout for more! You can find out more about this project at my Ravelry Project Page.

I used US0 circular needles with the magic loop method. I cast on 56 stitches, knit 15 rounds for the cuff and 60 rounds for the leg before starting the eye of partridge heel flap. After the gusset increases/decreases, I knit the foot for a women’s size 8 foot and use my favorite toe decreases. A Homespun Houses’s sock yarn is incredibly soft, and I can’t wait to wear these when the holidays are here!

WORKS IN PROGRESS

Picnic Blanket Socks by Curious Handmade in Explorer Knits + Fibers in Limoncello and Fresca

Anker’s Summer Tee by Petite Knits in Little Fox Yarn Linea in Gossamer

Junction Sweater by Andrea Mowry in The Fiber Seed sock in Rose and Washed Ashore.

In the video, I also shared my progress with Fall on the Farm. It’s a cross stitch pattern from Little House Needleworks and was offered as a monthly subscription from Fat Quarter Shop. I am taking my time with this pattern and have really enjoyed stitching it.

I also shared some club fiber from Nest Fiber Studio. I don’t have any pictures of it, but you can see it towards the end of the video here.
